Profihub B5 is the most advanced network component for Profibus DP installation, with a high degree of flexibility and power. It not only provides users with the perfect and economical branching solution for long distance multi-device, but also supports the star/tree segment structure for secure IP 20 applications.

Its features:
1. Baud rate of 9600~12M is self-adaptive, without any setting switch
2.5 PROFIBUS interfaces are separated from each other, regardless of master/slave
3. Each interface can connect 31 site devices, and can also be cascade through HUB
4. Each interface can be used as a terminal node
5. No master station configuration is required: Profibub-B5 is a pure physical layer device and has nothing to do with the upper layer protocol;No master configuration required, no GSD file.
6. No master/slave interface, terminal/non-terminal node: 5 PROFIBUS interfaces, master/slave can be connected to any interface.Each interface can act as either a terminal node or a non-terminal node.
7. Transparent transmission at the physical layer: Profibub-B5 has nothing to do with the upper-layer protocol of the network;Therefore, it can be applied to all PROFIBUS protocol functions based on RS-485.It also supports multi-master communication.
8. Segment Isolation: Each interface can be expanded into a "PROFIBUS Segment", with interface segments (optical/electrical) isolated from each other.
Cascading: Any interface segment can be cascaded through Profihub, and the number of cascades of Prifihub is related to the baud rate.
