Notes for M5 circular waterproof IP67/68 connector :
1. M5 circular connector to meet the waterproof IP67/IP68 rating, then the connector housing in mating and the same injection parts need to meet the requirements of waterproof.
At this time, we need to pay attention to the material selection of sealing ring, the choice of connector insulator material, the choice of connector molding material, the choice of wire material, the size degree of adaptability of the connector.
2. The choice of sealing ring: when the M5 circular connector shell in mating, mainly rely on the shell extrusion sealing ring to achieve waterproof effect.Therefore, the size of the sealing ring needs to be appropriate to the size of the connector housing.Sealing ring material selection, need to choose good elastic material, you can choose silicone rubber or fluororubber.
3. Choice of connector insulator material: The connector insulator usually uses PA66+30%GF . If it needs to reach the waterproof IP68 grade, the insulator material should use TPE or TPU material.
4. Choice of molding material for connector: conventional waterproof IP67 grade, molding material use PA or PVC.If need to achieve waterproof IP68, then the molding material needs to choose TPE or TPU.
5. The size degree of adaptability of the connector: the size of the shell and the insulator, the size degree of adaptability of the insulator and the pin core.
6. Wire material selection: PVC can be used for ordinary material. TPE or TPU or silicone rubber should be selected for wire material to achieve waterproof IP68.
7. M5 circular connector to achieve waterproof IP68, then the plastic insulator, molding material, wire material are TPE or TPU material in the same.
